AIDA isn’t just a shop selling independent and carefully curated brands; it’s a gathering space and a cafe. Founded by two sisters in 2012 (the boutique was named after their Nan), AIDA focuses on community and connection. Purposefully located on the busy high street of Shoreditch, the expansive space is host to numerous music events throughout the year, as well as artisan classes and sample sales.
One of the largest boutiques on our list, AIDA carries almost a hundred independent fashion and homeware brands from all over the world—many of which are committed to sustainability. Take Anecdote, for example. This female-owned fashion label from Amsterdam produces quality, slow fashion pieces, and each item is made with local materials by family-owned ateliers in Portugal, Spain, and Italy (we have our eyes on the french blue do sweater!)
