Satin is a timeless fabric. A point noted by Stuart Tingini, and now creative director of Molini London. The creative director partnered with two creative consultants, Kaela Katz, who has vast experience in the sustainable world and has an MA in fashion. Added to the team was creative consultant Elena Colli, an experienced fashion graduate & fashion designer also based in London
Fabric was sourced from Hong Kong and Italy, as sustainable satin is pretty elusive, and not cheap. Much research went into looking at “recycled polyester” ; “peace silks” and “organic satin”. Production is all done in Stratford, East London. Molini London is a zero waste, made to order luxury satin brand. The brand makes slip dresses, pencil dresses, mini skirts, crop tops, corsets, suits, elegant blazer dresses and unisex oversized Kimono shirts, and more.
