One to watch – Bella Sontez |

Every time we see Bella pop up, she is doing BIG THINGS! She seems to get better and better with every shoot. She models. She acts. We think she is destined for great things. She also has fabulous hair. She is therefore our first ‘one to watch’ feature.

1. Tell us about how Bella fell in love with fashion.

It’s funny I wouldn’t necessarily say I ever fell in love with fashion or that I’m even in love with it right now. I think I just enjoy being the subject of peoples creations and imaginations.

2. Apart from modelling, you also sing? Tell us more

I’m an actor mainly, that’s my thing. Someone described me as a professional liar the other day. I like that 🙂

3. What’s the one thing people don’t appreciate about craft?

Ooo people don’t appreciate how much work goes into creating a photo or video, they only really see the end result. It’s quite repetitive, extremely long days and you go through an awful lot of rejection!

4. Very cliche we know, but talk to us about the hair? How hard is that to maintain?

My hair haha! I get asked a lot of questions about my hair. So, it’s all mine, I grew that by myself! I wouldn’t say that it is hard to maintain in anyway because I’m so used to it and probably quite lazy with it at times. My routines are super simple, wash, deep condition occasionally and throw a whole load of leave in conditioner and natural oils in to keep it from drying out.

The secret to healthy hair is having the correct diet. Make sure you eat yo greens!!

5. There is a lot of photos with well done head wraps. Talk us through your love for that

I absolutely love wearing a head wrap because they completely change my image, but I don’t just wear them for style. A lot of the time, I wear a head wrap to shield myself from the energy of others. Our hair is our antenna so it can pick up any type of nonsense floating around in the air, which then alters our mood, our spirit and keeps us from staying grounded. I could get into this a whole lot more, but we’d be here for a long time.

6. Any pieces in you your wardrobe you would happily wear everyday?

I got these green velvet track pants a friend gave me, I bugged him for like 2 years tryna get them and one day he gave them to me, they’re super cozy, I could wear them forever.

7. We notice from your IG most of your shots are outside? Lover of nature we take it?

Oh wow! I never noticed, that’s kinda cool! I love nature, I grew up in the countryside, so I’ve always felt at peace around anything green/natural.

8. What are the highs and lows of your craft?

The highs are meeting incredibly talented beings and visiting places that wouldn’t have dreamed of if I didn’t do what I do 🙂 The lows are probably the amount of rejection I have to deal with, but that comes with it, so I’ve kind of grown to like that too. There’s a light in everything right!
